HSE & Quality

Safety is Non-Negotiable

Health, Safety & Environment

JII maintains a comprehensive HSE management framework — full RAMS production for every scope of work, permit to work compliance, pre-job toolbox talks and site-specific risk management. Every JII site engagement begins with a thorough pre-job HSE review, ensuring all hazards are identified, controlled and communicated to every member of the team before work commences.

Non-routine and high-risk activities are subject to additional control measures including job safety analysis, isolation verification and independent inspection before reinstatement. JII's personnel are required to challenge unsafe conditions and are empowered to stop work where safety cannot be assured.

Unbroken Safety Record

JII's operational track record exceeds 250,000 man hours without a single lost time incident — a direct result of the disciplined safety culture applied on every site, every time, without exception.

Procedural Discipline

Quality Management System

JII operates a documented Quality Management System encompassing the full suite of controlled procedures and work instructions governing all service activities — all subject to formal version control and periodic review.

The QMS covers controlled bolting procedures to ASME PCC-1 and EN 1591-1 methodology, end-to-end flange management procedures including register creation, tagging and traceability, controlled hot bolting procedures for in-service bolt replacement on live pressurised systems, flange isolation insertion and removal procedures, in-situ portable machining procedures for flange face restoration, and pipe wrapping and flange restoration procedures for corrosion protection and surface preparation.

All procedures are written to recognised international standards and tailored to operator and project requirements.

Personnel & Competency

All JII personnel are required to demonstrate competency prior to deployment on any bolted joint activity. JII delivers a comprehensive in-house training and competency assessment programme, ensuring all personnel working on critical connections have the knowledge, skills and practical ability to maintain best practice.

Training is delivered by experienced JII specialists and assessed to defined competency standards before personnel are signed off for independent operation. All service delivery personnel are required to hold current ECITB MJI competency certification or equivalent recognised qualification. No personnel are mobilised to site without documented competency assessment against JII's framework.

Audit & Traceability

Documentation Deliverables

JII produces and issues a comprehensive documentation package for every project scope — providing clients with a complete and auditable record of all bolted joint integrity activities.

Integrated Management System Alignment

JII's Integrated Management System has been developed to align with the requirements of three internationally recognised management system standards. All three are addressed within a single unified IMS framework, consistent with the Annex SL High-Level Structure common to all three standards. The IMS is established and operational from day one. Formal third-party certification will be pursued from a position of full operational readiness.
